The shrimp with a single skillet that makes any night at night

What does “well-being food” mean? It depends on who you ask. This is why every month, our well -being food plan – with delicious recipes and some jokers – is hosted by someone new. This month, our social media manager, Olivia Quintana, shares the way dinners are much more than convenience.
After a long day, it is easy for my husband and I to slip into TV mode while dining, allowing our brain to go out. He juggles his last half of a master's program while working part -time in an architectural firm of landscape and as a teaching assistant. I have my own job and volunteer, not to mention the painful schedule of our dog, Henry. In addition, we must stay at the top of the new episodes of The white lotus And The baccalaureate. But at least once a week, we try to be more aware of taking time for each other.
In these moments, I turn to what I call scoopable meals: a dinner served in the pan, ready to be delivered by hand in the mouth by hot flat bread or a crisp wand. It's funny to see how abandonment cutlery can instantly change the atmosphere. Share a saucepan to dive into help my husband and I are more actively involved with each other. We will pay a few glasses of wine and we will catch up with the last podcast that I listened to or the progress he has made on his project conceptions. It is difficult to be distracted and find yourself on your phone when you focus on scratching each last sauce.
When it is time for these shared dinners without television, there are a few dishes from which we generally choose. But a recent favorite has been this sassy and spicy shrimp and white beans with terrible cumin and a bunch of fresh herbs. Continue to read for the recipe, as well as a few more joyful things to place in your month.
Feel Good Recipes d'April
It's spring! The ideal moment to breathe life into some new traditions. Whether you want a moment to connect with your partner, friends or family, these dishes will invite a more in -depth conversation while you all dig.
A shrimp pan jumping
My favorite part of this meal is the speed with which it gathers. You will build flavor with dried spices, garlic and shallots before adding double concentration tomato paste and white beans. Then mix your shrimp, which cook in a few minutes. Shower everything with dill and mint leaves and you are done. When I feel particularly organized, I will spend time making homemade flat breads to associate with the dish. But other times, I'm just going to buy pita at the store, to toast tortillas or heat some frozen parathas.
Sheet metal meals also work
If you are looking for a quick option, a leafy meal could be one step ahead of the pan dinner (and this also means easy cleaning). In this way, you can always find a space for connection even on the busiest days. This one has all my favorite ingredients: chickpeas, cheese, tomatoes and green. Stack everything on a plate (or keep it on the mold) and pick up with pita.
A stir in recovery
I do not eat meat, so I exchange templeh for proteins in this frying chicken jumper with celery and peanuts. I keep most of the ingredients at hand, and I like the texture created from a mixture of crisp tempeh, soft dates and crunchy peanuts. Serve with the flat bread of your choice and the slices cucumbers on the side. The remains also make an easy wrap for lunch the next day.
A sharing dessert
If you share dinner, why not also divide the dessert? This Dutch chocolate baby is very simple to do but feels luxurious and decadent. And it looks quite impressive too. I started to do so for special occasions (holidays, birthdays, etc.), but it quickly became a must for weekends too. Combine yourself with herbal tea or decafferated coffee for the ideal wind to your day.
More well-being finds for the month
A show for when you want a distraction
Even if I try to avoid television during dinner, that does not mean that I do not expect it after. The last obsession of our house was the show Slow horses On Apple TV. He focuses on a group of MI5 agents who all have the dismissal, so that they are not granted in the security authorization or even authorized in the office building without escort. But they always find ways to end in developed patterns and power struggles within the agency. So far he has four seasons, but the third was particularly interesting. With Slow horses, Rupture, And Bad sisters All on the same platform, we were strongly set to Apple content.
