How to make golden milk (in just 5 minutes!)
[ad_1]
Our family has been drinking this golden milk recipe for years and is our favorite. I love curling up with a good book and hot drink and gold milk has a great hygge option. Its earthy, golden spice is a strong ayurvedic drug that is used for centuries.
Naturally, gluten -free, golden milk is a tasty way to get turmeric health benefits!
Turmeric of golden milk
You are likely to have met a turmeric in Indian or Asian foods. It is easily identified with its bright yellow (and I mean very bright yellow!).
In India, the traditional turmeric tea called Haldi Doodh is simply made of milk and turmeric. More modern versions of golden milk add everything from maple syrup to oat milk. Made in this way with heating spices such as cinnamon and ginger, even my children love the taste. It tastes like Chai, but this recipe does not use cardamom.
We may have this turmeric several times a week depending on the season and what sounds good. I love drinking it, especially before going to bed. Golden milk helps to relax and help increase the immune system while sleeping.
The benefits of golden milk
Golden milk is more than tasty. Turmeric supports digestion, immune function and liver function. It can even provide protection from certain types of cancers. Kurkuma's anti-inflammatory properties make it popular for the joint pain. It has also been shown to protect the health of the heart and cardiovascular system.
This do the maxim of the natural antioxidant power because it is served hot. We also combine it with other useful spices and a little fat and pepper to achieve better absorption.
There are several variations for turmeric road (given below). But here's what you need to get the full benefits of turmeric. Heat, turmeric itself, add fat to the absorption and black pepper to activate the turmeric.
Start on this base and adjust the spices and sweeteners to your preference!
Which milk is used
Traditionally, turmeric milk is made of hot cow's milk. If your family is able to tolerate it, the grass has been fed, raw milk adds a nice creamy taste. Other milk options include almond milk, cashew milk, pecan and oat milk. Coconut milk (not a canned species, but this recipe) is another dairy -free option that adds some healthy fats. Some people use vegetable -based soy milk, but it is not something I use or recommend.
It's not so creamy, but you can even make this recipe with regular water instead of any milk. Lääniemi is another great option for the bottom and you can leave a sweetener if you use broth. The broth apparently produces a more secular, salty taste. If you do not use milk or broth, consider adding a small amount of fat (such as ghee or coconut oil) as it increases absorption.
Do you really feel brave? Instead, try camel milk!

Curcue do -quests questions
This recipe has gained popularity over the years and I have received a few (a hundred) questions about it. I created this list of generally sought -after questions that are the most sought after:
Where do you get a turmeric?
Recently, I get fresh turmeric from the garden. I have also ordered dry, powdered turmeric items before. I use it in many spice blends, beauty recipes and this gold milk. Find the one that is organic, non -radiated and has curcumin. The brand often defines one percent. I have ordered this several times.
Do you want an even more convenient option? One of my favorite brands, the organifting, makes a delicious mix of ready-made turmeric drinks. It is full of super food to help sleep, to improve the immune system and relax at night.
What if I don't like turmeric/pepper/tea?
This may still be worth the experiment because it doesn't taste any of them. Black pepper is important here because it has a piperine, a compound that is known to increase the benefits of turmeric.
Can I leave honey/maple syrup?
Of course. I think it helps to fill the turmeric of strong taste, but it is not necessary. You can also use Stevia (healthy blood glucose levels) or nutrients to get rich blackstrap-melasses from health benefits. Note that molasses not just offering mild sweetness and gives it more flavor of gingerbread!
Can I have a turmeric in my diet in another way?
Sure! But I think this is the most delicious. If you are not in a turmeric or you do not want to spend time drinking, just add the ingredients to any food or take them alone. For example, throw turmeric, black pepper and olive oil to some roasted vegetables to achieve the same thing.
I have ___ a state of health or I'm pregnant/nursing. Can I drink this?
I always recommend a discussion with a health care professional before taking a natural medicine. The Medical Center of the University of Maryland states that it is safe to cook turmeric during pregnancy and during nursing. However, they warn the turmeric nutrition without using it first by a health care professional.
Other healthcare experts recommend avoiding turmeric Large, medical quantities To the following:
- During pregnancy
- In those who have or have had barriers to bile food
- The people of the people of the blood of the blood

I give small amounts to my children. The turmeric is, after all, a spice! They love the taste and love to help do it. But check their health care professional if you have any questions or concerns before drinking this.
This colored my counter/blender/cup. What do I do?
I have good news and bad news. The good news is that stains are not harmful and faded over time. The bad news is that it will take a while. Cleaning the wheel can help with baking water paste.
Can I make a big batch and keep it in the fridge?
Sure! I've done even half the gallon and kept it in the fridge. I think I also enjoy it cold, but you can also warm it in a small saucepan. This turmeric lemonade is another delicious version that is at hand
Can I use fresh cucumber root?
Yes! It was often not available where I live, so I used dry for this recipe. For the recipe you can use a fresh 1 inch piece of fresh cucumber root. This reaches the same thing. You can also strain it with a fine mesh filter to remove the remaining mass or pieces.
You can also use fresh ginger in this recipe instead of dried.
