Homemade sweet chili sauce (with clean ingredients)
[ad_1]
If you are a sweet and spicy flavor fan, this homemade sweet chili sauce can be just a new spice! It is made of pure ingredients (not high fructose -like syrup here). Instead, you will find honey, garlic and red pepper flakes for the kick. Sweet chili sauce is perfect for drip, immersion or adding sweet heat to your favorite dishes.
What is the sweet chili sauce?
Well, it’s delicious for one! Unlike my hot honey recipe, this is cooked to help the flavors blend together. You will find a natural honey sweetness, coconut – aminosis and garlic with a ulceration and rice vitality and lemon for a little acid to balance. And of course red pepper flakes for heat.
Because this is homemade, you can add more or less pepper flakes depending on how spicy you like it. The recipe also uses non-GMO countries starch, but the arrow root should work if you need the lower part.
How to use sweet chili sauce
This works well as a dipping sauce for things like chicken wings, for example, but it is just as at home roasted vegetables. I also like to add it to mix it to get a little peel. Try it with roasted or fried potatoes or pork. It’s much better than you find in a bottle in the shop (hey msg!) And you can feel good about the ingredients.
It is easy to make and meets in just a few minutes. And it lasts up to three weeks in the refrigerator, so it’s easy to keep a meal with your hand. In addition, it is free of artificial additives, dyes or strange items, so you may have all the sweet spices that have no junk.
This way you can make a clean, sweet chili sauce that can raise any meal!

-
Add all ingredients to the medium -sized saucepan. Whisk all together to make sure that the cornstarch is completely dissolved before heating.
-
Place the pan over medium heat and lift the sauce to a light boiling. When it begins to boil, reduce the heat from the medium and allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. This helps the sauce thickening and flavors to blend together.
-
After 5 minutes, remove the sauce from the heat. Allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes to thicken. You will find that it is shiny and smooth when it cools down.
-
When the sauce has cooled to room temperature, pour it into a clean jar or bottle. Close tightly and store it in the refrigerator. This sauce stays fresh for up to 3 weeks.
