Cherry pink moon milk recipe

It is probably not a secret now that I am a great supporter of a good night's sleep. Easier to say than to do if you are a mom with little ones. Over the years, I have refined my night routine to what works for me. This includes things like avoiding blue light at night and sipping relaxing drinks.
This delicious recipe for Cherry Rose Moon milk is a great way to relax at night!
What is moon milk?
Some of us can remember to have received a glass of hot milk when I was a child for insomnia. It turns out that there is in fact a solid science behind the secular practice of hot milk before bed. A 2018 study had heart patients to drink hot milk and honey twice a day. After only three days, their sleep had improved considerably.
In 2020, scientists made a meta-analysis of studies on dairy and sleep products. They found that dairy products improve the quality of sleep. Interesting, when the cows are milking at night, their milk has more tryptophan and melatonin. These natural hormones are known to promote restful sleep.
Moon milk combines hot milk with adaptogenic herbs for less stress and more rest.
Moon milk options
Even if you are without dairy products, you can still enjoy a cup of soothing moon milk without cow's milk. Certain plants based on plants or nuts, such as almond milk, coconut milk and oat milk, are also beneficial. Oat and almond milk have tryptophan, melatonin and magnesium (all perfect for sleep). Coconut milk also has magnesium. Do not hesitate to use your milk of choice in this recipe.
Soothing herbs and adaptogens
Part of what makes moon milk from the moon is adaptogenic herbs. These plant remedies nourish the nervous system and help the body recover from stress. They have been used in Ayurvedic traditions for thousands of years and, more recently, have been examined scientists. Decades of modern research confirm how effective these ancient herbs are.
Adaptogens are used to increase physical performance, calm down and the overall restoration of body systems. Different do different things and some are safer than others. They are not a single size. That said, some work well for the most part.
Ashwagandha
Unlike most stimulating adaptogens, Ashwagandha is a soothing adaptogen. It is also the most popular in moon milk recipes. Ashwagandha helps anxiety, fatigue, insomnia induced by stress, anemia and misty brain. More much more.
Pregnant women, those with very high iron or hyperthyroid should not use Ashwagandha. I included Ashwagandha powder in this recipe because it is very useful and sure for many. Simply omitted the recipe if you are in one of the above categories.
Soothing herbs in moon milk
In addition to the milk rich in tryptophan, you will find other soothing herbs in this moon milk. Chamomile can be soft enough for babies, but it is also strong enough for adults. I used it for difficult little ones, for pink eyes and a better night's sleep. You can find out more about chamomile here.
Another grass that we use is rose petals. They add a soft and smell floral flavor. The roses also support the nervous system, protect the liver and strengthen the heart. They can help relieve emotional and physical pain.
Finally, the star of the show is tangy cherry juice. This tangy juice suffers from melatonin which helps to increase the sleep time.
Important note:
The acid in cherry juice will make raw milk separate and certain brands of vegetable milk purchased in stores. To test if your milk will separate, add a little cherry juice and milk to a cup before combining all your ingredients of moon milk together. If he crosses and separates, omit the cherry juice, increase the rose petals to 1 tablespoon and reduce honey to 1 tablespoon or soften to taste.

Some moon milk recipes call a mixture of turmeric, ground cinnamon, ground ginger and coconut oil. They are mainly golden milk with an added ashwagandha. You can also add cardamom and black pepper to the mixture. You can get my golden milk recipe here.
